Dog: Astro

“When Astro our 1 1/2, old Dutch Shepard first came to Vegas Valley K9, he couldn’t walk on a leash without trying to attack someone. Being off lead was not an option. Kyle worked with Astro for 30 days. He came home a different dog. We even were able to take Astro to Petco. We play ball at the park off lead. We have had people at our house. We were never able to do before. I am very grateful we found Vegas Valley K9! Thank you Kyle!!”

Dog: Bronson

“We sent our 1yr old pitbull Bronson to Kyle for his board and train program. We made the decision to send him because he was growing more and more fearful of just about everybody but his owners. Our main goal with training was to avoid any sort of situation where his fear might turn into aggression.
Kyle came to our house to evaluate Bronson and we were shocked to see they had an immediate connection. He is definitely a dog guy and we were blown away our dog warmed up to him right away. During the boarding, we were able to visit him several times and see his progress first hand every visit we made. We were blown away each visit and it was amazing to see such a happy and confident dog.
When we took Bronson back home, we could not be happier with the results. Since then we have had multiple guests come over and after the initial bark from the doorbell ringing, he will settle and be calm the entire time. He snuggles with our guests and loves to present them with all of his toys. As an added bonus, we love playing fetch off-leash in our local park and love to see his recall skills. Having an off-leash dog while simultaneously maintaining verbal control is a game changer. Seeing our dog run and be free is a blessing! Since then we have used Kyle for overnight boarding and was very pleased with that as well! We are beyond happy with Kyle's services and would not hesitate using him again in the future.
Thanks for everything Kyle!”

Dog: Bane

“Kyle with Vegas Valley K9 did an amazing job working with our Boys. We have 2 dogs that are new to each other and my 8 year old pitbull (Bane) did have aggression issues when it came to unknown dogs. This made introducing these two and harmony in the house almost impossible. Bane went with Kyle for a board and train program for 6 weeks; to be completely honest I had little hope we would be able to relax with them both being in the house. After some time we visited Bane with our other dog Benjamin and he was not thrilled about the idea at first but we could see how much trust was built with Kyle in that time. Benjamin went and stayed with Kyle for the last week and during that time Bane went from having to wear a muzzle around Benjamin and trying to sneak attack him to them both being able to lay on the couch or in the same room with everyone (including us) at ease. Kyle set up real expectations for us letting us know that Bane may never want to play with Benjamin but he had faith that he could have them coexist and he lived up to that. Bane also has a solid recall now and we can go on hikes leash free which is nice. Bane does seem happier than ever honestly. Owning a dog is a learning experience and we had to do our half of the work to ensure what Kyle implemented continued at home it was work in the beginning but after time it just became life and how we did things and our household has more harmony than ever. When we picked them up and saw that Kyle and his SO were actually upset to see our boys leave it made us feel good because it did suck having to leave Bane for an extended amount of time but seeing that made it feel a little better. Fast forward a month after training we took the boys back to board while we went out of town and they both jumped out of the car and ran to Kyle ready for us to leave because they were so excited. I can't even put into words how grateful we are to have found Vegas Valley K9 and how they have helped our dogs. I appreciate Kyle for giving me real expectations and believing in Bane when frankly I didn't. I would recommend his services to anyone because I did believe Bane's case was advanced and he handled it like a true professional. Thank you again Kyle and Vegas Valley K9..”

Dogs: Smokey and Rory

“Our names are Rocky and Ashley, and we are the owners of two highly-energetic and fun loving dogs: Rory (Boxer) and Smokey (Australian Blue Heeler). We have had Rory since she was a puppy, and about two years later we found Smokey, an abandoned dog roaming our neighborhood and resting under a car. We decided to take her in, and did our best to find the owner. After no one claimed her, we were so excited to have her join our family! She is believed to also be about the same age as Rory, and they are both coming up on 4 years old.
Generally both dogs got along well, but over time we had issues with them that escalated into them fighting, mostly when there was food around or if there was a competition for affection. We decided to put both dogs through another type of dog training, and while it was well-worth it for what we learned, it did not get to the root of the issues we were experiencing. Smokey was very anxious around other dogs, and anything with wheels that moved, whether they were cars, bicycles, carts, or scooters. Rory on the other hand liked her own personal space and often times would be the one starting the fights with Smokey. Both dogs were put on medication for several months, but was not effective. After the training and medication did not really work as much as we had anticipated, we didn’t know what to do. Luckily, one of our friends recommended Kyle with Vegas Valley K9. This was our last resort. But we loved both dogs so much, we decided to reach out for more information and a consultation.
After a brief call, Kyle came over to our house and got to meet the dogs. We described to him the issues we were facing with the fights, the previous trainings, and all our emotional distress and frustration as a result. He gave us an overview of what to expect from his training, and we decided to pursue this option. At the same time, we slowly took our dogs off their medication, with the guidance of our veterinarian.
We set up a call with Kyle to understand more specifically what we could expect from the training, and he answered all our questions thoroughly and very clearly. His type of training would be a “board-and-train,” so he would have both dogs for 5 weeks straight at his house. He even invited us over so we could see the environment they would be in. After that visit we knew this was the way.
Once the training began, Kyle communicated very frequently on the progress of both dogs and the activities they were doing. He would send videos, pictures, and texts – and was always very quick to respond. We were also able to go over and see the dogs during the training program. They were exposed to real-time experiences during their training, such as going out into public places, out on hikes, and interacting with other dogs. This made the transition back to our house much smoother
Once the training was complete, the results were like night and day. They are like completely different dogs! Smokey’s anxiety is nonexistent, and Rory has learned to be welcoming with Smokey in her space. Our walks with them are no longer stressful; they are enjoyable for all of us! The dogs are so much happier and we’re so happy they can be this way without the intervention of any medication.
Even after the training was complete, Kyle is still supportive and has come by our house to assist in the post-training process. We still keep in touch and send him pictures and videos. None of this would have been possible without his training. He will teach you what you need to know once your dogs are back at home, and the approach is simple.
We highly recommend Kyle and Vegas Valley K9 for anyone who is looking to address the root cause of your dog’s misbehavior. We appreciate all he’s done for us, as he has helped to keep our family together!”

Dog: Koda

“I would like to tell you my experience with Kyle & how he saved my relationship with my German Shepard dog, Koda.
You see, I got Koda from a rescue. Koda is a pure bred German Shepard. He turned 15 months on June 5th.
I had never owned a GSD, I wasn't accustomed to some of the basics like... socialize socialize socialize! He began to be very territorial. He couldn't be around anyone other than the household members..
I spoke with Kyle, and he immediately made an appt to come meet Koda. What I had said was verified.
I signed up for Kyle's next opening. Koda spent several weeks with Kyle.... I was kept posted all along the way. occasional photographs, random videos & texts.
I was so afraid Koda would forget me in these weeks. But the day he came home... he was so happy to see me again!
He was sooo good & smart & he listened...
Then Kyle took us to the park, and I was blown away at how MY DOG could be around all these people and kids too! He would walk so well at a heel on the leash.
I was so impressed by all the work and time Kyle puts into his relationships with the dogs he trains.
Kyle saved my relatio ship with Koda. Koda had come after my face twice in an aggressive manor when he was younger. And I was so upset that this dog (as much as I wanted him) just might not be for me. But Kyle gave me back my best friend...
Koda at 15 months!”

“I enrolled my dog in a board and train program with Vegas Valley K9 to help with his reactivity and I'm so thankful I did. Not only did Kyle help my dog build his confidence, he helped build mine as well. Kyle truly has a special gift when it comes to working with dogs and I've never seen anyone have such a strong intuitive understanding of a dog's emotions. I highly recommend him for anyone in need of dog training!”
